A 2021 trend that should become a seasonal favourite! There are lots of char-cu-tree boards on the internet so we put our spin on one. Plant-based cheese sculpted into a 3D tree and adorned with extra tasty snacks - looks cute, and is honestly tasty.
Use any of our softer vegan cheeses without a rind to mould into shape and complete your festive spread with our other snack and cheesy canapés.
Method
Mould your cheese into a small cone shape – we found this is easiest when using your hands (and food safety gloves!) to mould it into a starting shape and a knife to sculpt it.
Once your happy with your shape, start adding small sprigs of rosemary, spearing them into the cheese facing downwards, to imitate Christmas tree ‘pine’ needles! Place them at random around the tree.
In the remaining space, add half-cut olives, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke pieces and anything else you’d like to add! Press them on until they stick, or use a few toothpicks to hold in place heavier items.
Once you’re happy with your tree, cut a star shape out of anything you had at hand (we used an olive!) and serve with crackers, breads and other vegan charcuterie bits.
