Ched Spread, Bacon & Cranberry Christmas Canapes

Ingredients:

  • ½ sheet vegan puff pastry – defrosted if frozen
  • Ched Spread
  • Cranberry sauce
  • 2 slices vegan bacon

Method:

This one couldn’t be simpler. Start by preheating your oven to 180c and greasing a muffin baking tray with oil or vegan butter. Use a large cookie cutter to cut out pastry circles about 3-4inches wide and add these to the muffin tray (it’s okay that these won’t fill the whole muffin hole – you want them to be small and bite-sized!). Add a small square of Ched Spread and ½ tsp cranberry sauce and simply bake for about 20 minutes, or until your pastry is golden brown.

Meanwhile, cook a couple of slices in a frying pan on a medium heat until browned and crispy and put to the side. Top your pastry bites with a little extra Ched Spread and cranberry sauce, and a small roughly chopped square of vegan bacon before serving.
