🚚 Where do we deliver?
We deliver to the majority of mainland UK. Minimum order value is £20 and postage & packaging costs £5 (that covers DPD’s fast delivery to you, in well insulated packaging - designed to keep the cheese cool and fresh ‘til it reaches you).
We don’t currently deliver to Jersey, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands as defined by DPD: AB36-38, AB55-56, FK17-21, IV1-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-40, PH19-26, PH30-41, PH49-50).
We had to stop shipping to these areas (January 2021) as a result of too many delays and disruptions (mainly as a result of Coronavirus and increased administrative burden for exports post-Brexit). Such delays push the delivery outside it’s ‘safe window’ and we’ve seen too much cheese go to waste (as it has to be delivered within 48 hours).
We’re monitoring the situation to determine whether the issues will be resolved soon or whether we need to review delivery options and consider working with an additional delivery partner - we very much want to serve the entirety of the UK 🧀 🌱.
⏰ When do we deliver?
Deliveries are available between Tuesday and Saturday; you can choose when we deliver at checkout (up to a couple of months in advance) and closer to your chosen date, you’ll receive notifications and updates regarding the status of your order. On the morning DPD are scheduled to arrive, they’ll likely message you with an
📦 What packaging is used?
The packaging guarantees that the items will remain below 5°C for 24 hours (the shipment window) and below 8°C for 48 hours (the extended shipment window, accomodating for a slight delay). We advise customers to remove the products from the insulated delivery box and refrigerate them as soon as possible upon receipt (we also recommend unwrapping the cheese and placing it in a sealed contain to maintain freshness).
♻️ How do you dispose of the packaging?
You can refreeze and reuse the ice packs, or let the water defrost and then recycle what’s left. The boxes and packing materials that we use are recyclable and we’re working to ensure all product packaging is recyclable too (in a transitory phase at the moment).
Other important shipping information:
Delivery dates as always an estimation and specific delivery time slots may be offered by the courier; please note that this cannot always be guaranteed and sometimes deliveries continue into the evening. We strongly advise customers to be re-sent for deliveries as we cannot accept liability for products spoiled due to missed deliveries or deliveries rescheduled outside of the 24 hour shipment window (to delay dispatch before DPD have your order, please email us directly and we’ll see what we can do). Note that this includes where customers have arranged for delivery to be made at a work address but then not been present at the time of delivery when an attempt is made in the evening.
