Blue Cheese Pigs & Blankets


  • One pack of mini plant-based sausages (we could only get hold of medium-sized shroomdoogs, but mini/cocktail sausages would work better for this!)
  • One pack of plant-based bacon rashers (we used Plant-Pioneers
  • A large chunk of Honestly Tasty Vegan Blue Cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Salt & pepper to season


  • Pre-heat oven to 175c
  • Hold a small slice of Blue on top of a sausage, wrapping it with a slice of bacon and securing with a toothpick or two
  • Repeat with all your other sausages and add to a baking tray
  • Cover all your sausages with a couple of tbsp of maple syrup, approx. a tbsp of olive oil and seasoning
  • Cook for approx. 16-18 minutes (this will depend on brand of sausages used) or until golden brown and crisp on the outside
  • To serve, you can remove the toothpicks and drizzle your sausages with a little extra maple syrup before dipping them in a nice chutney or relish!
