American Style Pancakes

 Ingredients:

  • 125g flour self-raising
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 160g milk (oat)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Herbi cheese

Method:

Add the tsp of apple cider vinegar to your milk, mix well and set to the side for 5 minutes. Next, place all your dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Add your milk/apple cider vinegar and whisk until smooth.

Place a large frying pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp of oil and wipe around the pan with a heatproof brush or wad of kitchen roll. 

Once the pan is hot, pour about two tbsp worth of batter into one side of the pan and circle into a pancake shape. Cook for about a minute, or until bubbles are popping on the surface. Carefully flip over and cook for another minute on the other side. Repeat this until you’ve used up all your batter and serve with your preferred breakfast additions (we used Herbi cheese, vegan sausages & baked beans!)
